4.0x 7.0 Hiossen fully guided. I underestimated length very soft bone you think i should bring pt back and take out and redo with 10 or 11 mm long implant next week?

Could you have placed this implant a little deeper? Sure.

Could you have used a longer implant? Yep.

But honestly nothing wrong or negligent about what you did. 7mm implants work.

If the patient has low risk factors, I say just leave it. It’s gonna be fine.

If the patient is a crazy bruxer and smoker, you may consider removing during the first couple of weeks after placement, and switching to a longer one.

The key here is don’t stress about it, thinking you did something wrong. It is a learning experience and you will do good follow up and maintenance on your patient.
